The car was not roadworthy at pickup. The tire pressure light was on when I checked in, and the passenger rear tire went flat shortly after. When I looked closer, both rear tires were worn/bald on the inside with visible lumps, and one tire had a piece of metal in it. I didn’t feel safe driving it, especially with my 1-year-old.
The host responded, but the issue couldn’t be resolved quickly, and I had to contact Turo. Turo ultimately towed the car and issued a full refund. I wouldn’t rent this vehicle again unless the tires/maintenance are addressed.
Thank you for your feedback. The car was inspected before drop-off with no warning lights at 9am. Photos show the light appeared after driving 27 miles at 12 pm, and you confirmed everything was fine at 4 pm. The flat tire was reported the next day; I offered assistance but was denied. Turo later confirmed the tires were within spec and resolved the claim in my favor. I always prioritize guest safety and clear communication, and I regret that this avoidable situation caused inconvenience.
