This 2021 Vanderhall Venice is pure driving excitement! Its open cockpit and old school design gives you unobstructed views of Maui and lets you feel the sea breezes and cool mountain air. Even sitting still this car lets you enjoy our island paradise in a way other vehicles just can't duplicate. Its open concept and automatic transmission allows you to enjoy leisurely drives along the coastline or the sights and sounds of Front Street. However, underneath the hood of this 1500 pound dynamo lives a GM turbo charged engine with just shy of 200 hp! Paired the ability to switch from Automatic to Manual shifting, you can unleash the beast within and experience what it might have been like to drive 1950s Formula 1 cars. (Only to the extent that you observe the speed limit and all traffic laws of course!) Keep in mind, this isn't a car you want to use to transport a huge suitcase. There is very limited room in a compartment behind the seats big enough for a picnic basket and a few more small items.

Guidelines
No car seats or booster seats DO NOT step on leather entering and exiting the vehicle. This can be a costly mistake DO NOT drive this onto the sand DO NOT drive on unpaved roads (ie back road to Hana. Road to Hana is fine, just be sure to come back the same way)

Thomas was an excellent host and provided my wife and I with the best service possible, especially considering the unfortunate circumstances. We planned on driving the north side of Maui all the way to Hana but had an odd oil smell come from the engine. Knowing a bit about cars and that this probably meant there was a repair needed, I pulled over to the side of the road and gave Thomas a call. He managed to get his mechanic and be at our location in about 15 minutes. The mechanic said that the repair could take more than a couple of hours and so Thomas was kind enough to give us several options to ensure our day wasn’t ruined at all. He proceeded to offer a full refund and an optional discounted rate on one of his other vehicles for the day or the next day. He even gave us a ride back to our own car as well. Such a nice gentleman and was so grateful for his top tier customer service in a time of need. Would 100% recommend this host.
