We booked the Kia Soul originally. A couple of hours before pickup the host said it was unavailable and offered a Rio instead. He communicated quickly and worked to get us into an available car, which I appreciated. The Rio itself was a rough week for our family— a cigarette smell that got stronger each day with two little ones in the back, a car that labored to start every time, and a decal we weren’t comfortable with. When I raised these concerns afterward, the host apologized but declined any refund. I’d recommend confirming the vehicle’s condition somehow before accepting a swap.
