I originally booked one of the host’s Mazdas but had to switch to this Lexus due to damage from a previous renter. The Lexus was decent for an older model and worked fine for my work trip.
The main issue was being accused of causing damage to the front bumper. The host claimed I returned it “hanging,” but there was no physical impact or damage during my rental. I’ve seen this happen on older vehicles before — panels can loosen over time without any collision. Unfortunately, this situation is now causing me to come out of pocket for something I did not do, which is extremely frustrating. I only used the vehicle for work, and I’ve never had any issues like this with any of my other Turo bookings.
Overall, the car itself was fine, but the misunderstanding about the bumper made the experience disappointing.
