The car was great and got me where I needed to go. It was a little janky and had some damage on the front end but nothing that would affect the trip. There was an odd smell in the car the entire time and I tried to get it out but I think maybe that might be common thing around here due to the moisture. Overall I would definitely rent it again, was a real gas saver.

LET ME BE CLEAR: this car does the job.
Took us up and down Road to Hana, and was very serviceable as a car. The 3 stars comes from the car smelling like a chronic smoker. If you’re okay cruising with the windows down (you’re in Hawaii, so you should be), that will negate most of the issue. The car itself is also pretty wimpy, but again, IT DOES THE JOB.
I would recommend, for your trip, just know you’re getting into a smokers car!
