⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We rented this Mazda MX-5 for our Maui adventure, and it exceeded our expectations. Driving a convertible through Maui is an experience in itself, and the MX-5 made every mile enjoyable. We drove the entire Road to Hana, tackling the winding curves, narrow bridges, and changing weather conditions with ease. The car was responsive, comfortable, and incredibly fun to drive on some of the most scenic roads in Hawaii.
We also used it for the Shaka Guide West Maui self-guided tour, cruising along the coastline and stopping at countless scenic overlooks, beaches, and local spots. With the top down, it felt like the perfect island car.
As passengers arriving on the NCL Spirit, the rental location was a short and easy walk from the cruise pier, which was incredibly convenient. It even helped us get a few extra steps in for the day before hitting the road!
The fuel economy was excellent, parking was a breeze, and the car added an extra level of fun to our Maui experience. Overall, this Mazda MX-5 helped make our cruise stop unforgettable. We would absolutely rent it again and highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore Maui in style.

Rented this car for the second year in a row—same vehicle, same company—and it was just as great. Super easy experience, and we loved it so much we’ll likely book again next year. Not many manual options on the island, so this was perfect for my boyfriend. Handled the Road to Hana beautifully and performed great in the rain during the Kona low storms. The convertible top is quick and easy—can put it up or down in seconds. Space is tight, so pack light, but it still worked well for us. Highly recommend!
