We had a great time exploring Maui in the Mustang, but the overall experience fell short of expectations. The vehicle wasn’t as clean as it should have been at pickup, with trash under the seats, sticky cup holders, and stains on the rear seats. The rear windows also didn’t roll all the way up, which should be addressed before renting the vehicle.
Communication throughout the rental also felt less professional than expected. A few interactions came across as abrupt or dismissive rather than customer-focused, and overall the experience lacked the level of hospitality I look for when renting through Turo.
While the car itself made for a fun trip, the combination of cleanliness, maintenance, and communication issues means I wouldn’t choose this host again.
