Would give 0 starts if I could. Rented a Corvette from this host, and drove it maybe for 10 minutes probably less and got an engine overheating alert while driving and the car shut down on me in the middle of traffic. Embarrassing. Then by some miracle I was able to get it running just to pull over on some random street. Host basically said sorry call road side assistance and wait for them to tow it. Basically saying it’s your problem. Couldn’t even get me another car to swap for, mind you this host has over 100 cars in their fleet. Just told me to get a refund. Battery died too on top of that. Claims everything was fine with the vehicle prior. Waited about 3 hours for the tow truck to come. Overall terrible experience, but the worse part is the host did not care. Put me in a dangerous position as well. Be very cautious when renting a corvette from this host. They will probably reply to this in a way to say they weren’t at fault. It’s whatever. The least they could have done was hook me up with another ride or some sort of compensation, but all they said was sorry “we didn’t expect this to happen.” Very shady. Turo hosts should have proper maintenance regulations for their vehicles to prevent something like this from happening. I’ve rented several corvettes on this app before and never had an experience as terrible as this one.
