I rented the car for 1.5 months and the car worked well without any major issues. The inside is mostly new and well maintained. The only only two issues were: the dashboard plastic cover was recently glued together and there was a strong smell of weed apparent a few hours after receiving the car which disappeared after deep cleaning the interior. During the rental, the car worked well.
Prior to returning the car, I removed all trash, wiped the interior of the car and had taken the car to the car wash two days before to remove heavy pollen. I believe that I abided to Turo’s cleaning policy as best as possible leaving only a bit of dust from use. After returning the car, the host reached out and asked me to zelle him money because he had to rush to get an oil change and take the car to be cleaned since he had another rental 3 hours after I returned it. His reasoning was that I delayed his next reservation because I did not deep clean the car myself (he sent me a picture of light dirt by the foot pedals). When I asked about the turo policy, his response was directed towards my personal character rather than addressing the problem with the car/policy. I think in attacking me personally, the host was unprofessional and that things could have been communicated better. I hope that this was just a one time scenario and still wish the host the best.
I delivered the car to you clean and with a full tank. It was returned dirty and late. I had another reservation scheduled immediately after yours, and I had to rush and rearrange everything, which caused delays for my next guest.
I paid for a car wash out of my own pocket and requested reimbursement, but I was told this is not covered under Turo’s policy.
You can check all the reviews for this vehicle there is not a single complaint about its condition. The issue here is not the car, is guest
