Personally, the golf EV was not my favorite. Very glad I rented one before purchasing service from vibe Motors. Was ideal couldn’t ask for anything more responsive polite willing to be a great host and couldn’t ask for anything better

The VW Golf should not be rented for any purpose except 1-3 mile runs.
It needed charging every 35-45 miles.
When I asked the host about this problem, he said and I quote, "you rented the cheapest EV on the site what do you expect"
I expect to not have to charge the vehicle 7 times in 30 hours, that's what I expect.
I spent $56.40 on charging this vehicle in 30 hours of the rental.
So most of my time in the vehicle was spent sitting at charges.
Huge disappointment with this car and I would not ever rent it again and if recommend nobody else does either.
Good day sir.

As you said it was your first ev car experience and for that experience you choose oldest and cheapest ev car on the market you can find with range of 70miles per charge. You drive almost 400 miles in 30 hours and complaining that you charged a car a few times? Also it was extremely hot weather and you definitely used AC - that drains battery faster. Do a simple math and think logically: if car has 70 miles range and you need to drive ~350-400 miles, how many times you need to change it?
Pick up and drop off was seamless. It was an extreme inconvenience that the vehicle at full charge only went to 74 miles. I didn’t feel that I would even get a true 74 miles before the vehicle needed to be charged again. I was commuting from fountain valley to Buena Park and 1 way took about half the battery. I also didn’t see the mileage noted in the description, otherwise I wouldn’t have rented. Ended my rental 2 days early and borrowed a car on the second day of having the rental because I was over it. Just something to be mindful about!

Guest wasn’t focused when booking this car. Didn’t noticed that it was fully electric with limited miles range. Car returned extremely dirty full of sand, grass and soil dirt. Car returned less than 50% charged and guest refused to compensate charging expenses. Guest threatened to leave bad review and blamed us for her lack of attention when choosing EV car for her trip.
Great host with great cars, just not a big fan of this car personally.
