1. The rental agreement stated no smoking, yet the car smelled strongly of smoke with an air freshener trying to mask it. I had to drive with the windows down.
2. The key malfunctioned and locked me out of the car, causing my family to miss a reservation and lose $300 in non-refundable admission fees. I had to send a video because they didn’t believe the key was defective.
3. I was told there was no replacement vehicle available, so my only options were to return the car and be stranded or leave it unlocked with my belongings inside.
4. When I returned the car, I asked if they would offer any compensation. They refused, said it wasn’t their decision, and dismissed my concerns as “minor.”
Poor customer service and zero accountability. A simple acknowledgment and effort to make things right would have gone a long way.
