Lexus IS

Unfortunately, my experience with this rental was extremely disappointing. My original reservation was canceled at the last minute, and the only replacement offered was this Lexus. The vehicle was much smaller than what I had originally booked and was not suitable for my family's needs. With the trip being so close, booking another vehicle elsewhere would have been significantly more expensive, leaving me with very little choice.

Aside from the inconvenience, my biggest concerns were the vehicle's condition and safety. The tire pressure warning light repeatedly came on throughout the trip, forcing me to pull over multiple times to manually check the tires since the dashboard wasn't displaying any tire pressure information.

The steering was especially concerning. Whenever I turned the wheel slightly, it would pull aggressively in that direction on its own. Although I was able to maintain control, this was a serious safety concern that could have easily resulted in an accident.

The brakes were also in very poor condition. There was extremely loud screeching when braking, and I had to apply significantly more pressure than normal to bring the vehicle to a stop. Between the steering and braking issues, I did not feel confident in the vehicle's safety.

On top of that, the windshield was cracked, which raised additional safety and potential legal concerns, and the interior had a very strong cigarette odor that made the ride unpleasant.

Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience, especially considering I was traveling with my family. I understand that unexpected cancellations can happen, but replacement vehicles should still be properly maintained, safe to operate, and reasonably accommodate the original reservation. Based on my experience, I would not recommend renting this vehicle in its current condition.

Car was in bad shape. Very tore up and filthy on the inside. Windshield was so dirty and everything was sticky but the biggest concern was the tire pressure light being on at pick up. I checked the info center to see which tire had issue but it showed no error so I assumed it was a sensor issue as I own a Lexus and they are known for these problems. There WAS a tire issue and it caused a blowout on LA highway and nearly wrecked! Upon roadside assis
tance arriving they pulled the spare and said the spare had been previously driven on under inflated and had sidewall damage making the spare unsafe as well. I have rented from Turo many times and had nothing but 5 star experiences until now. This car should not have been rented out in this condition and was clearly not checked for issues or detailing prior to rental
