The car overall was a decent size and clean but my goodness, the mechanical issues that need to be addressed.
1. The brakes are grinding and squeaking.
2. MAJOR
After idling, at a traffic light or other, the car gives this "High Engine Temperature Stop Safely" alert. I couldn't even start the car, pull out of a parking space and idle for 2-3 minutes waiting for my daughter before getting this alert. You get a coolant smell and it starts vibrating. This happened at least 15-20 times. You basically have to drive with the air conditioning off to pray it does not happen and it still does. Houston is too hot for this.
Also, imagining needing a rental because of overheating/coolant issues in your own vehicle just to get a rental dealing with the same.
3. Also, the pickup location is an office building. If host is not going to be present at their office, then give EXPLICIT directions to the vehicle or general area instead of having people walk around having to play Where's Waldo with a vehicle. A person should not have to call to try and find out where the vehicle is located thru the multiple cars that are on property.
I would have extended if these issues were not present, so future renters beware.
This is new to us. No other customer complained about such issues as this car was just back from a trip when you took it. We did it before giving it to you but will check it thoroughly thanks for the feedback.
