My experience with this host was extremely disappointing. The host arrived late for the pickup, and instead of providing a vehicle that was ready to drive, he asked me to go across the street to put air in one of the tires. He told me he would meet me there in five minutes. After waiting, I had to call him, and he then asked if I could pay for the air with my own card and said he would reimburse me. I declined because this was a maintenance issue that should have been handled before the rental even began.
After putting air in the tire, I immediately noticed it was still wobbling. Concerned for my safety, I took the vehicle to a nearby tire shop. They confirmed the tire had a large bubble and was at risk of a blowout. They also found that three additional tires needed to be replaced, making the vehicle unsafe to drive.
When I tried calling the host multiple times to report the issue, he would not answer. I was ultimately forced to contact Turo customer support for assistance while stranded. This entire situation could have been avoided if the vehicle had been properly inspected and maintained before being rented out. I would not recommend renting from this host due to the serious safety concerns and lack of communication.
