The car was fine. The tpm system was complaining of tire pressure but air pressure was fine. Communications were strained as he offered to let us pick up the car at the airport for free then withdrew it later without communicating that to us. The offer came while we were on a plane without WiFi.
The stress of it all means future rentals will be through a regular rental company for us. Car was returned 15 hours early

On the pickup: I’d offered free airport pickup, but with your response coming ~4 hours later while you were mid-flight, the car had already been repositioned, so we met at the listed address instead as confirmed in our chat.
