The host was incredibly nice and the car drove perfectly, despite an unexpected battery issue right from the start. The car was not starting when we initially checked in, and I had to use the provided jumper cables every time we needed to turn it back on. It was a bit anxiety-inducing wondering if it wouldn’t start, but the cables worked every time. The host did offer a full refund when the issue surfaced at check-in, but I kept the car to avoid the stress of finding a last-minute backup during my short time in Hawaii. I only wished this issue was found a little earlier so I could potentially have found alternative rental car solutions, but I appreciate how accommodating the host was regarding this issue.
