Amazing experience and I’m so glad I rented a car from this host! I had the best time and the easiest check-in and checkout, and he was super informative the entire time. I will definitely rent again.

Pickup instructions were clear and good, car mileage is good as it is hybrid. Good one and had no issues

Beware of this host and his co-hosts they are deceptive. They rent out multiple cars on the island that are hybrid while only charging the cars battery half way. They offer an optional gas refill of $30 so you don’t have to refill the gas. The only problem is the car doesn’t run on gas as its first fuel. Hybrid cars run on EV then switch to gas once the battery is low. HE TELLS YOU TO ONLY FILL UP THE GAS. I made the mistake of renting twice from this host.
The first time he had a glitch in his gps and called Turo to get local police involved and because he couldn’t find the car…the car was in the same location as we picked it up. He apologized and said he would work to reverse the late fee charges and offered a discount if we ever booked again.
I took him at his word and we were returning to the island multiple times to look at places for moving. So, I gave him another chance and booked again because it was a good car and convenient location for pick up. Never got the discount which is fine, but why offer it and then not follow through.
When looking at my credit card statements I noticed 6 days after each
rental there was a “low battery fee” along with other fees totaling to $59 per rental. The host states in chats that you only need to fill up the gas but they know the Turo policy automatically charges for low battery which is why they only charge to half battery. It’s sad they are just lowering the price to get people to choose their cars knowing they will get another $59 per rental. Never had any bad experience from Turo hosts before, sad to see people be morally deceptive like this.
