I have rented from this host a couple of times now and each time the car is clean and easily accessible. I highly recommend renting from him.

I have NEVER had a customer service experience this frustrating.

My vehicle was towed from the host’s business after I parked in what I believed was a visitor parking spot. To be clear, the host did not see me pull into the space. However, he did see my vehicle parked there when he greeted me and never told me that I could not park there. He had an opportunity to communicate the parking restriction to me and failed to do so.

The parking restriction sign is posted at the opposite entrance from where the building is located, which makes it very easy to miss. Had I been told directly that I could not park there, I would have moved my vehicle.

Instead, my vehicle was towed.

Now I’ve wasted $171 on a rental AND have to pay another $238 to get my own vehicle back. I was literally stranded with my child, trying to deal with a situation that could have been prevented with a simple warning.

And Turo’s customer service made an already terrible situation even worse.

The first Turo representative told me he had to get off the phone because he had other customers. I was stranded with my child and dealing with an unexpected $238 expense, yet I was essentially rushed off the phone.

I called back and spoke with another representative. I asked to speak with a supervisor because I wanted the situation escalated. I was told there was no supervisor available.

So I asked again for help and was given the same answer: “There’s nothing we can do.”

No supervisor.
No escalation.
No meaningful assistance.
No accountability.

I understand that businesses have parking rules. What I don’t understand is how a customer can park in a space clearly appearing to be a visitor spot, the host sees the vehicle sitting there, says NOTHING, and then the customer is left responsible for a $238 towing bill. On top of them getting $171 for my business.

What’s even more frustrating is that Turo completely washed its hands of the situation.

I wasn’t asking Turo to magically erase a parking rule. I was asking for customer support and a reasonable resolution after the host failed to communicate a restriction and I was left stranded with my child.

Instead, I got representatives who couldn’t—or wouldn’t—escalate my issue and repeatedly told me there was nothing they could do.

This is not how you treat customers.

Turo has left me with a terrible experience, an unexpected financial burden, and absolutely no confidence that they will be there when something goes wrong.

$171 rental $238 towing = nearly $400 out of my pocket, and Turo’s response was basically “not our problem.”

I will never use Turo again, and I would strongly encourage anyone considering using them to think twice about what happens when something goes wrong.

I feel your frustrations and pains and wished it was better. I'm glad your made it clear it was out of my control and all ur fault. You picked car at midnight and I was nowhere to see you or your personal car as assumed and contradicted by you. You basically used my car for free because all my earnings were refunded to you. I provide the best service as seen in all my reviews. Again I feel ur pains and wished it was better.

Vehicle was decent
Clean and a smooth ride. It was perfect for what I needed it for and the price was extremely affordable. The host was kindly informative, gave me all the info I needed in a timely manner. I would definitely rent from him again.
