A maintenance light came on during my rental. I notified the host right away. Instead of handling it, I was asked to take the car in myself and pay out of pocket, with a promise of reimbursement later.
I was not comfortable with that. I wanted to follow Turo’s process. The host became difficult and unhelpful.
For a $1,000 rental of a 2014 Toyota Camry, I expected better. I expected a properly maintained car and a responsible host.
Unfortunately, I was disappointed and would not rent from this host again.
