Was scheduled to grab the car at 11:30 in Reno, but after trying to reach Dominic multiple times, my license wasn’t reviewed and approved until almost 12:15. I then tried to find the car based on the location, and for some reason the location took us 10 minutes away from where it was parked in the garage.

I then expressed some frustration as we flew in to Reno to rent a car and drive in to CA (Reno was the closest airport) for a wedding rehearsal and were starting to run late after initially planning for plenty of time to eat and get ready. Dominic stated “you can return the car an hour later for any inconveniences.” We proceeded to return the car 45 minutes after our initially scheduled time—within the one hour window Dominic gave us—and then we were charged by Turo for another half day use of the vehicle. I told Dominic he said he would reimburse me, and after requesting on Zelle and following up multiple times, I have still not seen any form of reimbursement after I was specifically told I could bring the car back later as compensation for a late start that was the fault of the car owner.

The car itself smelled really bad on the inside, we had to immediately buy an air freshener to make inhabitable. The car is a remote start, and the first thing we see after starting the car is “key battery low” warning in the dashboard. We told Dominic and he offered to meet up with us but that wasn’t feasible considering we had an entire itinerary set for the next few days. Overall, the communication on this trip was very poor to say the least and I was very disappointed in this Turo experience.
