So here’s my rating. This was the last minute booking, so with that being said, I can’t really blame the host too much. The car was dirty when I picked it up. It wasn’t all the way filled with gas just a little bit under. Those things can be overlooked, however, the brakes on the car are shot. Every time you go to hit the brake pedal the car shimmy’s so bad you feel like you’re gonna lose part of your mind. This part of the rating is my fault. I had an emergency situation in Las Vegas, Nevada. My daughter is in the hospital in need of a liver transplant. I needed to book this car for one more day as this was a last minute procedure that needed to take place and I needed to be there for my daughter. For over 2 1/2 hours I tried to contact Turo and rebook one more day. I kept getting error messages saying that my account had something wrong with it and it’s impossible to rebook another day and I needed to return the car. Really? I Contacted the host who said there was no other bookings on the vehicle and that it would be no problem for me to extend my booking. With that being said, I tried to rebook the car again through Turo, but with no luck. After almost about a day and a half of trying to rebook this car, I finally had to call Turo. They allowed me an emergency booking. My daughter‘s procedure took longer than I thought it would take. And I again reached out and tried to extend my booking for a few hours to let them know as a courtesy that I would be Longer than I had anticipated, again no response from Turo. I was two hours late on returning the car and doing the best I could to get it to them all the while communicating and when I finally returned the car, Turo had charged me for a full day. Completely unacceptable. This company has to have a better way to communicate with people. At this point, they still cannot tell me why there is a hold on my account and what the problem is, they’re just saying that there’s a problem with the account. Again, unacceptable. I was already under enough stress with this situation with my child, I did not need any further additional stress. What a horrible experience with this company! Again, the host was very Good with communication and extending my booking. I really did appreciate that. After they address the situation with the brakes on the car I see no reason anybody shouldn’t book this car.
