Yuan and co-host mobilius were very accommodating and let me pick up and drop off at different airports, which made my trip so much easier.

Communication: Not bad but could have been better. For example: airport instructions were confusing because they copy/pasted pickup instructions for both airports which made me question if there had been a mixup. Also, the instructions on where key was left said something like “driver/passenger side” which could have meant anything, and it wasn’t fun searching around all four tires in a cramped parking lot.

Disputed charge for airport parking. Yuan has over 50 trips, so it’s hard to give the benefit of the doubt. Were they trying to fleece me for $4? Also hard to believe. Either way, be careful what you’re being charged for


Car:
I had issues with the clutch sticking occasionally during shifts. You can pop it back out with your foot, which makes me think its the return spring or the cable and not some air in the line.

I agree with the other reviewer that having the cover in the already small trunk isnt appropriate.
The bluetooth does work for music, unlike what another reviewer said. And some of the squeaking is from having the seat all the way back. Just a quirk of the car.

The brakes whine/squeal when you’re on them gently. This was annoying with the top down though not noticeable with it up.

Enjoyed this fun little car for the last week! Communication with the host was great, pickup and drop off at SFO went smoothly. Didn’t have any mechanical issues but the car had lots of squeaks and rattles, and the soft top whistled while up at highway speeds. There were also three different brands of tires mounted out of four. There was also a large car cover in the trunk which takes up about a third of the entire storage capacity of the car. It was difficult to fit two carry on bags in the trunk. All this said, you don’t rent a car like this for storage capacity. It was fun and responsive, easy to drive, looks cool. Great gas mileage as well.
