I preface this review by saying that every time I travel I exclusively rent teslas. I typically find them super convenient to rent, easy to drive, and cheaper than their gasoline counterparts.
This model 3 was clean and pretty sharp in the red color. However, it is the first time I’ve not been provided a digital key through the Tesla app for the car, meaning I had to utilize a physical key card the entire time to lock/unlock and “start” the car. Could not remote lock or unlock, could not vent the windows in the hot Florida sun, could not precondition the car. It was inconvenient. When it comes to first world problems this list leads the way, but these are features we’ve all become accustomed to.
The vehicle also had low air in one of the tires upon delivery and even after paying to add air to the tire it had a very unsettling shaky feel around 70 miles per hour on the fast Florida highways where the steering wheel was visibly shaking and it felt like the car was coming apart. The
A/C was also extremely slow to cool the car even when parked in a shaded area (see lack of digital key and ability to precondition the car). I made the host aware of these issues.
Other than that this experience, like every other Turo experience I have had, was seamless pickup and drop off. I will say, I would not rent another Tesla without first ensuring digital key access.

Thank you! I didn’t know how to pay for superchargers but I did charge the car so if any extra charges for that I’m fine with you charging my card.
