The car itself drove great and I had no issues with the vehicle. The reason for my rating is solely based on the pickup and drop-off experience.
I always pay extra for airport pickup and drop-off when using Turo, so I expect the process to be convenient and clearly communicated. The host informed me that the car would be located outside the airport at the cell phone lot. However, there is no airport shuttle service to that location, which meant I had to pay additional money for Lyft transportation to pick up and return the vehicle.
I offered alternative solutions, including other nearby lots that do provide shuttle service, but the host was not willing to accommodate those options. The host also offered to pick me up personally in the vehicle and drive me to the car, but I explained that I was not comfortable with that arrangement.
I have used Turo multiple times and always pay the additional fees for airport pickup and drop-off, and I have never experienced this issue before. If I am paying an additional $90 for the convenience of airport pickup and drop-off, I expect the service and customer experience to reflect that. The vehicle was great, but the pickup and drop-off process was inconvenient and resulted in unexpected additional transportation costs.

We had a great experience. The owner was extremely nice and polite and was great with communication. The car also drove perfect. It was everything that was needed. Will book again when we’re back in Chi City.
