Extremely Disappointing and Unsafe Experience
The original BMW was canceled by the host just 3 hours before pickup because it had broken down. I was then given a Chevy Cruze that would shut off while reversing. I immediately told the host I did not feel safe driving it and contacted Turo.
The host offered a Mercedes as a replacement, but although we landed at 10:15 AM, we did not receive the replacement vehicle until 2:00 PM, leaving us stuck in a parking garage for approximately 3 hours after a 6-hour trip.
Unfortunately, the Mercedes was also unsafe, with shaking, grinding, acceleration problems, and shifting issues. I notified the host and contacted him when we ultimately broke down on the highway.
While the host did communicate with me, his attitude toward my frustration was disappointing given the circumstances.
I strongly recommend that both the Chevy Cruze and Mercedes undergo extensive mechanical inspections and repairs before being rented again. Safety should always come before putting a vehicle on the road for paying customers.

Safety is why we removed the BMW prior to your trip. The replacement vehicles were operational when provided, and we had no known condition that deemed them unsafe. When you declined the Chevy, we accommodated you again with the Mercedes despite it returning from a 2,800-mile trip that day. You were also given the option to cancel rather than wait. We communicated throughout, addressed every concern raised, and genuinely did our best to accommodate you. May God bless you and your family!
Had a late pickup up but besides that car was fine enjoyed my business trip in Phoneix very respectful and communicative host definitely would rent again car had a dash camera didn’t expect that but overall it was pretty smooth easy pickup and easy directions
