Host sent me introductions to pick up the car and I spent over an hour looking for it all for him to tell me it was another vehicle I should be looking for. Super last minute so I wasn’t able to find anything else to book. I had to drive to pick up the car I originally booked and wasted almost 3 hours of my day after landing. On top of that he was rude and didn’t want to deal with me after he’s the one that was giving me false information and having me search for a car that wasn’t where he said it was. This is my first time having a bad experience with Turo but I will def never book w this guy again!!

The car was a better value than others so I expected it to be on the worn/used side. I did airport pickup and drop off. That required some extra time and patience. All in all, the vehicle served its purpose. I appreciate the rental.

If I could give 0, or negative, I would without question. My vehicle was at pickup on time. I arrived alone to a vehicle that I own the same of myself, the headlights are automated. It not only had a non functional headlight, but also tailight, and lower TPMS light. I love this. None of these are issues that should have been issues on a car that is meant for rental and was left for someone coming from out of town with no other way of transportation. I found out by getting pulled over later in the day and being Lett known that I was in a vehicle that not only is not up to Truro standards, in multiple ways, but is also not street legal according to Colorado Department of transportation.

When I alerted him about the headlight which we noticed at first, I was actually told by him, even though we are in no way allowed to make alterations to the vehicles, as that’s a rule according to Toro and I’m sure the host. He wanted me to pay out of my pocket to fix the headlight. Excuse me? I am from out of town dependent on this rental car that should have no issues and all of these things should’ve been figured out by the person, renting it and putting it on Truro‘s platform before my arrival. Same thing with the tail light, I should not have to take time out of my vacation to fix issues with a rental car that was not street legal in the first place that I could get pulled over at any moment with. Not to forget that with a tail light out and a malfunctioning headlight I am a hazard to others plus the passengers in the vehicle.

This gentleman wanteded me to pay in an alternative form NOT using the Turo platform. This is very much a very sketchy individual and does not care about his gas, safety, time, quality, or that he ruined two entire days of my vacation by giving me a non-legal and trouble ridden vehicle.

I am also not the happiest with the response from Turo, as yes, they are covering some money for a better replacement, but I have lost an entire two days of my vacation due to the issues of this individual as I planned using this vehicle nearly a month in advance with no idea that these issues would arise. I will be continually calling and I will be getting money or I will be raising absolute HE double hockey sticks

If you’re coming to the Denver Metro, do not ever in any way possible if this account does not get shut down already, do not do business with this individual in any way shape or form or take any vehicle from him as he will not help you in anyway and expect you to pay for fixes. He knew about the headlight and the tail light. There is no way he didn’t, and also when I brought it to attention, he was not concerned about the headlight and suggested I only use the car in the daytime. I was not paying to only use 50% of the car. That is not how this works. And also when I brought up the tail light, his response was “nice“ with no plan of action to put in place to help. This is not a proper gentleman who is also misrepresenting himself and his vehicles. RUN.

ETHAN's response

Lying boy

All you said are untrue. We offered you to fix, not let you pay for it, anybody can see what you said is not true. How would we let you pay for a lightbulb, of our vehicle?!

Claiming of it is pursuing a PHD degree, can’t able to replace a lightbulb, can imagine the quality of what you studied!

The worst thing you did here is drop off 100 miles away, using excuse of a bad headlight bulb? At the daytime? kidding? You Have to pay for your mistake, so that can learn to be responsible

Basic A to B transportation. Tires and AC could be better for 100deg CO days but, for the price, it was fine.
