The host was great! The vehicle broke down and they were helpful enough to get it towed back.

Based on what you described, it may have been related to the vehicle’s Auto Start/Stop system; in some cases, if the car remains in “Drive,” it may seem like it won’t restart. This is only our assumption since the vehicle operated normally afterward.

I had a great first experience renting through Turo, and would definitely rent again. The pickup instructions for this 2021 Subaru Legacy were clear, the location was convenient, and the host was very responsive and helpful with any questions I had.
The car was clean and tidy when I picked it up, which I really appreciated. That said, I did notice the drive wasn’t as smooth as what I’m used to in my own Subaru Legacy. I noticed a few small dings on the front that looked like they may have been from a minor previous incident, which could have affected the smoothness of the drive (but I wouldn’t know I’m not a mechanic I’m only comparing to my 2020 Subaru Legacy) Additionally, the AC had a slight odor after running for a bit, which might just need something simple like a filter change.
None of these issues affected my trip in a major way, the ride was pleasant and I still had a positive experience overall. I’m happy to give this a 5-star rating because of how easy and smooth the rental process was, along with the host’s great communication.
