I would give 0 stars if possible. This was an extremely unsafe and unprofessional experience.
Before we even started the trip, the host admitted the tire was losing air overnight and told us to just put air in it ourselves every day. He even said he planned to fix it after our trip. That alone shows the car should not have been rented out.
When we expressed concern, his response was basically “then cancel the trip” and “either enjoy it or don’t take it,” which was incredibly dismissive and inconsiderate especially considering we were a group of young women just trying to travel safely.
Shortly after getting on the highway, the car became dangerous to drive and would not accelerate properly, putting us at serious risk. We had no choice but to pull over on the highway and return the vehicle.Leaving us extremely behind for the plans we had .
The car also had visible damage (cracked glass, etc.) and was clearly not properly maintained. None of this was handled professionally.
Instead of taking accountability, the host was rude, sarcastic, and tried to shift blame.CHRIS was clearly aware of the issues and chose to let people rent the car anyway.
This experience was unsafe and completely unacceptable. Do NOT book with this host.
