It trying to charge me for turning in the car
We were not trying to charge you. That was an automated message sent by Turo 30 minutes after every trip to your phone if you haven’t checked out. We despise that message, it causes us a lot of misunderstandings.

The car was stank of sea water and cigarette smoke. The seats were still wet as if it was rushed to get cleaned. Pick up didn’t start til about 15 mins after because the owner had to go get gas for the vehicle . It was clear that the rental was not prepared for my arrival .. in addition to that when driving the car on the highway i realize the gear shifts weird as if something is wrong with the transmission and also the stereo in the car doesn’t play good it’s very scratchy .
We apologize that you had this experience. We try repeatedly to remove smells out of these vehicles. I recall you arrived about 10 minutes early and we handed you the keys 5 minutes after your trip time began.
