Kia Optima

2 Stars for my 2 Cents: we took the car to Charleston for the day. Made a beach trip of it. When we started driving off of Folly beach I grabbed the car charger out of my bag. It did not work. In either car charger port. I tried to plug the charger into the USB slot it didn’t work either. All of this to say DO NOT DRIVE THIS CAR FURTHER THAN YOUR PHONE BATTERY CAN GET YOU. On top of that the low tire light stayed on despite putting air in the tire 3x. The tires are mismatched as well. The car has 2-3 chips/cracks in the windshield. The shocks are wearing out as well. Very bumpy ride constantly asking what is that noise and stopping to make sure the tire isn’t flat. It’s missing the chrome over the passenger window. It’s also got a black oval where the Kia emblem should be on the hood. When it’s hot outside and I turned the AC on to cool the car it felt like I was sitting a front row seat inside an air fryer basket. Thankfully once the AC finally gets cold it will freeze your toes off. Oh and the low windshield wiper fluid light was alternating with the low tire light on the screen so driving is very distracting. This is the problem with companies trying to utilize Turo. Every real person I have rented a car from has taken great car of THEIR car. But when a back room LLC rents out abused, and ill maintained vehicles for a quick buck it’s the drivers who get burned. This car was not worth the price tag or the anxiety it caused. Rented for two weeks and let it sit in a parking space for most of it. Very disappointed. Only positive was the radio. The audio and bass is killer, however you can see where they cut out the old radio and stuck in this one that does even fit in the hole they carved to shove it in. Very unsafe. But turning the music up helped distract from all the sounds and bumps it made on the flat drive down I26. Rent at your own risk and pay the insurance option because lord knows who it will crap the bed on.
