The car was clean and remarkably nice ride considering high miles.
The owner then scammed me out of $500 claiming I scratched the bumper. A big downer after what seemed like a good experience.
Derek returned my BMW with damage to the front bumper, and he is very aware of what happened. Communicating with him regarding the damage was difficult, because he made false accusations, rather than addressing the issue. Lastly, a damage claim was filed, and after Turo reviewed the evidence, it was determined he was responsible and therefore had to pay his $500 deductible to TURO, “NOT to ME” just as I had to pay my deductible to TURO as well. Bottom line, DEREK be responsible for your actions!

The car was pretty disappointing. It was clean, but definitely worn. They had “fixed” the doors recently. But even when the car was unlocked I could not get into the drivers door. The battery died while I had the car. The host was very responsive and took care of the problem. They were also flexible when my plane was delayed by a day. It was a frustrating trip in total, the car situation didn’t help.
Beth, you leaving the lights on drained the battery, it was the first thing I saw when I got to the vehicle.
Most importantly, your booking was Non-Refundable, and TURO’s policy allows a 2-hour grace period, which means you would have lost all your money if we marked you as a No-Show. Despite that, we accommodated your “apparent flight delay” and held the vehicle for 17 hours when you finally showed up. We did that, to help you save money with all the life situations you had going on! TY 🙏.
