The front left tire needed to be replaced. Turned out to be fine to use for the day but added stress.
The drop off was very frustrating as I was told to find street parking which was impossible in battery park on a day with a festival in the nearby park. I wasn’t given any notice of this before renting or I wouldn’t have rented. One of the main conveniences of Turo is the delivery / drop off feature since I have a family and it’s difficult to park in nyc.
Then the owner refused to accept that I couldn’t find street parking and provided no alternative solution. I spent an hour trying to find street parking and was forced to park it in a nearby parking garage as there was no one from the owner side who could pick up the car within hours despite it being the drop off time (that was unchanged from when I booked the Turo). The owner then got upset at me and threatened to charge me money for the garage without admitting it was the best solution since the alternative was parking in an illegal spot that could result in towing.
This trip was such a bad experience that I have stopped using Turo and went back to renting a car for following July 4th weekend.

This was a contactless delivery, clearly communicated before the trip. Our team drops vehicles off early and retrieves them at night from Long Island to avoid traffic and keep delivery costs low. We asked that the car be returned to legal street parking, but it was left in a paid garage, costing us over $130 to retrieve. We still chose not to charge the guest. We strive to accommodate everyone and appreciate guests who follow the agreed return instructions.
