I had originally rented another car from Neythan for my 3 month trip. However, that car was not as described, with bumper damage that made me uncomfortable to drive in my speedbump-filled neighborhood, and the last guest of which partied a bit too hard (vehicle was received with wet stains, smoke smell, and alcohol). About 3 weeks into my trip Neythan offered to meet me halfway to exchange the car for this one, and this car was great and as described.
I will say some things Neythan did rubbed me the wrong way. Considering I was renting for 3 months, I’d have appreciated him checking the state of the first car before I picked it up. In addition to it being stained and with bumper damage, he messaged the evening of pickup to ask me to send a picture of when the warranty check was due and to possibly meet him to do that, an oil change, and detailing; I was 2 hours away so this was not convenient. The morning of my final return of this car, I messaged him to let him know I was returning the car early in order to go check on a family member who had been hospitalized; I let him know the gas tank was ¾ full and offered to Zelle him. He said he would send an invoice through Turo, instead, which was fine. However, when I received that invoice he had charged an additional airport fee and a convenience fee; considering I’d spent more money on gas to do the car exchange for the original less-than vehicle, I found this to be off-putting.
Overall, this car was as described, however I’d have appreciated a bit more forethought from the owner and fewer hidden charges and inconveniences.
