Avoid this host. Shakyra falsely accused me of 'crashing' the vehicle and threatened to have me banned unless I paid her directly outside of Turo. When I refused, she charged me a $150 cleaning fee for standard desert dust on the tires—a blatant violation of Turo policy. I had to file a formal dispute with Turo to get my money back. This host uses intimidation and fraudulent charges to squeeze extra money from guests.

Justin took our vehicle off road in Joshua Tree and returned it was damaged, including a missing piece of the grille. This is clearly documented in the check-in and check out photos provided to Turo. Based on that evidence, Toro handled the situation accordingly.
We take pride in being fair and respectful hosts, as reflected in our other reviews. We simply ask that our personal vehicles are treated with care and returned in the same condition they were provided in.
