The Miata platform is a lot of fun, been wanting to experience it myself for some time! Downsides were that the car was dirty upon pickup, sticky surfaces, dust and bugs on the exterior. Signs of wear and tear on the driver seat and handbrake. I asked the host if we could get it cleaned, he said they had a membership to the local carwash. Great! Went over there and they asked me for payment... the membership had not been renewed. I paid out of pocket and spent about 30 minutes getting the car clean, vacuumed and wiped down. I was comp'd for the carwash after the trip ended, but not an ideal start to the trip. Mechanically seems ok, if not a bit touchy with the clutch (but that might just be a Miata thing). Rear right tire is getting a bit worn.
There are plenty of Miatas on Turo, I recommend looking elsewhere.
