Pick up and drop off were not contactless and car is in rough but functional condition. Host was great meeting us late at night for pick up and gave us a great run down on the vehicle. We felt bad that he had to meet us for the transfer.

Thanh was easy to work with. He was flexible with us, friendly, and communicated well. The car got us to and from our destination without issue, but we were disappointed with the maintenance of the vehicle. No single issue was a deal breaker, but they added up to be worth noting. Check engine light, abs/traction control light, driver seatbelt did not retract, air conditioner did not work well, car was generally run down. Trip was successful but we wouldn’t rent this car again personally.

I regret the inconvenience. Prior to the trip, I told Eric about the warning lights due to a bad speed sensor and gave him the option to cancel. The sensor has since been repaired. On a 22-year-old BMW, the service engine light can appear for many reasons, including emissions issues. The A/C refrigerant may be running low, so that will also be serviced.

Thanh was lovely and great with communication! The car is a bit more worn than pictured (by about 100k miles) and the drivers door would not open. Other than that, we had a great trip.

The driver-side door lock actuator failed during this trip and has since been replaced. This is a high-mileage 2004 convertible with 300 completed Turo trips, but I keep it maintained and address issues when they arise.
