The car itself was great. It was mechanically sound, felt almost brand new, and got me from Point A to Point B very comfortably.
That said, there were a couple of issues that lowered my overall rating. The backup camera didn’t work for my entire trip, and Apple CarPlay would randomly disconnect without warning. Even when I wasn’t using CarPlay, the infotainment display would occasionally go completely black for a while before turning back on. Unfortunately, these issues happened multiple times while I was relying on navigation on busy interstates, which I found both frustrating and a safety concern.
Overall, the host seemed attentive, and I believe they’ll address these issues for future renters. I wouldn’t let my experience completely discourage you from booking, but I do think it’s worth being aware of these potential problems.
