Car wasn’t fueled up and not washed

Very nice car, but had a warning notification that the brake pads needed to be changed, not what you hope for in a sports car. The pickup location was also changed without notifying me and I was delayed having driven an hour and a half out of my way just to turn around head to another spot. Host offered a discount on the next booking for the trouble, but would have preferred a cost deferral on this one as I don’t plan to book with him again

I had a mixed experience with this rental. The host themselves was very polite, and their general communication regarding pick-up and drop-off was excellent. However, the vehicle preparation and upfront disclosure fell short of expectations. The car was delivered quite dirty (I ended up washing and detailing the interior myself) and arrived with only a quarter tank of gas. Additionally, there were dashboard warnings on for both low washer fluid and brake wear. None of these issues or maintenance warnings were mentioned to me by the host at any point. While they were friendly to work with, the lack of communication regarding the car's condition and the poor prep make it hard to give a perfect rating.
