Car was clean and sufficient. It was a bummer that it was on eco mode and had little power to get on the freeways. Check engine light was on from the beginning and mostly wasn’t a problem, but on our last day (day 5) we started heating a rattling/ ticking sound and the car was not driving smoothly anymore.

You could have pressed the eco button to just turn eco mode off. It’s the button that says eco on it. Also if you had a check engine light pop on, you should say something about it instead of just driving on it. I would have swapped you into a different car
