I would not suggest renting from this vehicle or his owner again. Communication was subpar. My son and I were headed to Boise for a football tournament, he’s 17 years old and we had been looking forward to this trip for six months. We got to the vehicle, within less than 1 mile, I was getting an emergency signal that the engine was overheating and that we needed to pull over immediately.
Obviously, anxiety provoking, we had a hard deadline to get a Boise state for a tour of the facilities . The host immediately responded and said he would not be willing to refund my trip. I was not comfortable moving forward with the rental, but I had no choice, because he refused to refund the trip. He did come out ultimately and fix the issue. But I was not comfortable with moving forward with his vehicle because I did not want to be responsible for any damage to his car for his lack of maintenance. I would not suggest moving forward with renting this vehicle

As a host, I don’t control refunds—only Turo support does. Once explained, I fixed the hose clamp on-site within 45 minutes (not a broader vehicle issue) so you could continue safely. We’ve had 20 five-star trips and prioritize safety.
I regret the refund limit led to poor ratings across all areas. Hope to provide a smoother experience next time.
