The car needed its tires balanced and shook badly at 60 mph and got worse at higher speeds. I sent him a message and he apologized but did not offer a solution. I looked at the tires and the fronts were relatively new and the rears were worn and manufactured in 2020.
The experience with the host did not follow what the app told us. We received the car left unlocked with the key in the center console and not in a lock box. That was questionable but it worked in spite of the ability for anyone to steal the car with the keys before I picked it up.
Then dropping the car off was also confusing. The app instructed us to place the key in the lockbox when ending the trip. Well, there was a lockbox that was left in the glovebox. So we put the keys in it, shut it and locked the doors. Assuming the owner would use a spare key to access the car. Then I received a call while in the airport from the host. He was not able to get in the car and did not have a spare key on him. He told me not to worry about it and would handle it.
Now that I’m at home I received an addition charge from him for the parking fee that was required for him to pick up the car after my trip has ended. Which is stated clearly as not my responsibility in the Turo app.
Very disappointing trip. This was my first experience with Turo and, depending on how they handle this additional charge, my last.
Thank you for your feedback. We respectfully disagree with your review. The vehicle was inspected after your trip and no mechanical issues were found. Regarding the key return, the checkout instructions were not followed. The keys were locked inside the vehicle, which required us to hire a locksmith at our expense to regain access. We strive to provide a smooth experience and appreciate your feedback.

The car was nice in the inside and out. Gas mileage was amazing!!!! I traveled roughly 400 miles and only spent $40 in gas TOTAL!
If you need a nice car that saves you on gas, this is it!
