The car was very clean. Smooth process with the rental. Definitely will be renting again.

This review has nothing to do with the quality of the vehicle—because I never checked in or drove the car—but rather with the integrity and professionalism of the host.

I booked with this host around midnight while boarding a delayed flight to his area. I provided my flight information and explained that it had been delayed several times, so the best way to determine the appropriate delivery time would be to track the updates online using my flight number.

Once boarded and en route, my flight was cancelled and I never made it to the destination. I immediately attempted to cancel my reservation, but didn’t have the option and accidentally changed it to reflect a rental period of only one hour. The host immediately accepted the request, knowing he would keep the cost of the rental plus his maxed-out $120 delivery fee, leaving me out of $200. I kindly requested a refund, which he refused to provide, instead sending me a copy of Turo’s cancellation policy.

Unknowingly, he also included the exceptions to the no-cancellation policy, which clearly list cancelled and delayed flights. At that point, I handled everything through Turo support.

A few things to take note of with this host are greed, unprofessionalism, and a lack of integrity. There is no quality of car that would make me want to conduct business with someone of poor character and values.

I would have been willing to compromise with a partial refund had he shown any understanding of a situation that was completely out of my control. Instead, he pointed out that because I received a $96 refund, it was “better to take that,” claiming Turo would have charged me for three full days.

Fortunately, while some hosts lack integrity, professionalism, and even a bit of compassion—Turo does not. After speaking with customer service, I was issued a full refund, and I want to make it clear that the actions of this host do not reflect the platform as a whole.

Also, the $120 delivery fee is the maximum allowed, and there are many other cars on the platform with far more reasonable and fair pricing. I recommend choosing one of those hosts instead.
