Rear tires were worn to the tread marker, that made this type of car, with the HP it has, a bit loose. Even when exiting the parking garage onto road and accelerating, it stepped out a bit. Then on highway, normal acceleration to pass an under speed limit vehicle slowing traffic, again squirrelly. My wife was concerned of a safety matter here…
I contacted the host, unfortunately, host proposed to just return the car…wasted hours, there was an event weekend in Austin, virtually no other rentals available. To rent at a rental agency, subcompact rental on short notice is actually more expensive.
Really poor experience, quite an inconvenience for me and my travel party. If renting a performance car on Turo, it needs to be maintained properly and safe to drive, tires are critical to stability and braking…
Also, the car was loaded with water spots and outside not clean.
You contacted me asking for a discount.. then you said it’s unsafe to drive it, which is I don’t get why would you want to drive unsafe car for less money?
The car was safe but it’s not good for track which is something prohibited.
