The car is beautiful. It's fun to drive. But this host does not care about your safety.

This host sent the car out with tires that did not meet the Turo host guidelines. Fortunately I had the premier protection package, but I'm new to Turo and the host took exception that I did not take the required photos of the car. The car was not damaged, but a flat occurred in a remote area about 6 hours from Denver and in a no-cell coverage. The tire had 0/32" tread on the outer shoulder, worn past the cords and thru the casing on the inner shoulder. That's on a quote from Les Schwab, a professional tire dealer, where we had the car towed and ultimately ended the trip.

The host claimed that had I followed the checkout procedure that I would have seen that the car was restricted to Denver. Apparently, he knew it was unsafe any distance.

This was not published in the original listing and since I was going to Telluride for the Autumn Classic Car Show, it would have been very awkward for me to discover this after getting off a plane in Denver for this event. Further, Section 3 of the agreement reads: “This Agreement cannot be altered by another document or oral agreement unless agreed to in writing or through the Turo Services.” I never agreed to anything other than what was in the Turo agreement.

I had the car towed to Les Schwab who examined the tires and found that NONE of the four met the Turo required safety requirements for a host (Turo's published Quality Standards require tires to have a tread depth of at least 4/32 inch (3.175 mm). They wrote:
- Left Front: 0/32"–2/32" tread; secondary rubber exposed.
- Right Front: 4/32"–5/32" tread; inner-shoulder tread separation beginning.
- Right Rear: 0/32"–4/32" tread; cords starting to be exposed.
- Left Rear: 0/32" on the outer shoulder; worn past the cords and through the casing on the inner shoulder.

This host intentionally put his car on the road without inspecting the tires. This put potential injury to me and my family traveling with me as well as the possibility of injury and property damage had we had a catastrophic blowout that caused loss of control of the vehicle.

That's irresponsible.

The car is beautiful. It's fun to drive. But this host does not care about your safety.

Great experience overall. The car was clean, comfortable, and ran perfectly with no issues at all. Everything was exactly as described, and the whole process was easy and straightforward from start to finish. I’d definitely rent this vehicle again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, well-maintained car.

The host was incredibly accommodating and easy to work with. My flight was delayed twice and eventually canceled, which completely changed my arrival plans. He was very understanding and flexible, and made sure I was still able to get the car when I finally arrived very early in the morning. Great communication and excellent service throughout the whole experience. I really appreciated his flexibility and would definitely rent from him again!
