I rent through Turo frequently, and this is the first time I’ve experienced receiving such a high volume of messages after picking up a vehicle. I’m not sure whether the messages were generated automatically by the system or sent by the owner, but I received well over six messages after retrieval. I decided to bring the car back early.
In my opinion, much of this information could have been communicated prior to pickup. As someone who rents often, I’ve never had this experience before, and the number of messages became somewhat excessive.
I also arrived less than 20 minutes after my scheduled pickup time. Upon arrival, I had to wait and make several calls to the owner before I finally received the code needed to access the vehicle. I believe that information should have been provided at the scheduled pickup time to ensure a smoother experience.
Overall, the vehicle was fine, but the communication process could be improved for future renters.
