From the start, the presentation of the car was already to a bad start. The license plate was hanging by one screw and blue tape was still along the windshield, I'm assuming from when the windshield was replaced, along with other minor cosmetic issues.

The interior of the vehicle was clean enough and initially there wasn't any other issues to note. The first main problem happened while in traffic. The Mini has an auto start/stop feature and when it turned off, it didn't turn back on. I go to put it in park and start it again and just chalk it up to a mishap with the system. I turned it off after that, but turned it back on a few hours later and didn't think much of it.

Then there was a second occurrence in much heavier city traffic. This time it didn't turn back on right away so I'm stuck going back and forth with it trying to get it to start. I'm lucky everyone driving was paying attention at the time and didn't hit the tiny red car in the middle of the street until I was able to get it to start again. I notified the host about the issue and how the car was saying it was an issue with the starter and the only feedback they really had was that it was a third party device they had installed on the car that was interfering with the start/stop feature, there was nothing wrong with the starter or the engine even though nothing was said about the engine, and that they were working on a resolution for the issue. The only thing they recommended for me was to leave the start/stop off or to turn the car in early. Since I actually needed long distance transportation and ubering was not a reasonable solution, I went with the former.

The third occurrence thankfully happened in a parking lot. I already had the start/stop off before I had pulled in to park and turned the car off. I was away for maybe no more than 45min before coming back to the car not wanting to start. Each time seemed to have taken longer than the previous one to get the car started, but it eventually did start back up. I told them of this third happening, but no response was given this go around.

To top off the experience, the check engine light came on not too long after this, though I figured there wasn't much reason to relay this information at this point.

The only thing that kept this from being a 1 star review was that the car was fun to drive when it would let me and they were mostly prompt with their responses, aside from their moment of absence.
