To be honest I have been renting with Turo since 2021 (both domestic and international rentals). I have never had any issues. While this convertible bmw was ok, I would not rate it as excellent. First regarding pick up, the car is NOT at the airport, you have to take a shuttle to the car lot where it is parked (first time experiencing this and I hated it). Second, the moment I pulled out of the parking space (didn't even make it to the exit way of the parking lot) the tire light appeared on the dashboard. Now, I am from another state, i had no idea of what the safe areas of Georgia was so I found myself at a rinky dink gas station looking for an air pump for the tire. When I pulled up the pump was broken. Luckily, a man in a very beat up car and a beer in his hand offered to help with his portable pump, he looked suspicious but I had no choice. After pumping the air he asked for gas money - not a $1 for the air he gave me but gas money. I gave it to him and left. Third, the passenger seat or the car is severely cracked and so is the roof that drops down (but i am guess this is standard for a convertible).
After heading back to the Airbnb 5 hours later, the light for the tire being low came on again. I had to stop again to fill the tire up because I didn't want to damage the rim. Once I got stationed I immediately notified the owner of the vehicle and he was very accommodating. He sent a service repair company to fix the tire. They arrived at the Airbnb around 2am, took the car with them, repaird the tire (i guess) and brought it back before I woke up that morning. (All of this was on day 1 of my trip)
Now, day 2, the owner voluntarily contacted me to check on the vehicle but I hadn't driven it since he fixed the tire. Around 830p we left the Airbnb to get dinner and another light comes on for the tire the owner said it would probably be ok and sent me directions on how to check the psi but that didn't work for me. So I went to the gas station and filled the new tire that was lit up on the dashboard. I notified the owner of this and asked for a replacement vehicle because I have side of the road phobia really bad and I knew if that tire was completely flat I was not getting out to check on it. The owner assured me I would be fine.
The next day, while heading to the airport, ANOTHER tire read low. So, I called the owner and he said we should be fine getting to the airport, he said the mechanic may have put to much air in the tire he fixes.
The host was absolutely amazing which is why I gave this feedback 3 stars but the car itself - A BIG NO!!!
When i am on vacation the last thing I want to worry about is if my rental is safe or not.
