Car had a ton of chips in the front, dozen or more air fresheners to cover up something, and the infant car seat was tiny.

The rental experience started off OK but ended terribly. We picked up the car at night, and driving to our destination discovered that the high beams did not work. This is very dangerous for most roads in Michigan. Then on the last day, the car wouldn’t start. We called AAA and found leaking battery acid and melted wires all over the engine. When we asked the owner about this, he said he knew about the battery acid. This is atrociously negligent on the owner’s part and could have led to a very dangerous situation on the road. In summary, the car was towed and we received a refund from Turo.

For anyone renting this car, please pop the hood and confirm that the battery acid has been cleaned up and the wires look OK.

The car was perfectly fine prior to your trip and also for most of the duration of your trip till the last day. So something must of triggered it…The car’s battery acid was from the prior battery that has been replaced already. According to the mechanic the car is perfectly fine and it was sensor problem that has been replaced. We take safety very seriously! Please give the benefit of the doubt before you slander someone’s honest living! No one is perfect and mistakes happen. Have bless day!
