Car was great and so was Racquel.. the charging infrastructure in Kauai needs improvement but just keep on top of it is my recommendation.

The car quality was very good. It is a challenge to rent an EV in Kauai since there aren’t many charging stations and the ones they have are very slow. I couldn’t find a useable charger the night before we left so I had to return it without a full charge. I can see why there are very few EVs offered on Turo there. It was my first time driving a Tesla and even though I watched the videos it took awhile to adjust. I would suggest that Racquel be a little more communicative and accessible for any questions. I also didn’t know when I rented the car that the Turo lot was four miles from the airport which would have been good to know before renting.

It was def nice to have a Tesla in Hawaii. Fairly reasonable to manage with some charging through an outlet at the place we stayed. There is no fast charging on the island. Can’t tell if it is Hawai’i or the rental status of this car but it had more wear and issues than my Tesla with more miles that I am not easy on, things like the climate system was saying there was a short, had a really hard time to get the driver seat to move back at first.

Exactly what I was looking for, the Model 3 is a fantastic car. The shuttle to the lot was easy to use, and it make pick up/drop off easy. It was also a great way to see the whole island without paying the $5/gallon island gas price. Thanks!
