Awesome host. I rented the car for about two months. Very reliable car. Great Gas saving vehicle I got over 35 mpg on the highways. Cold AC, and clean interior and exterior. 3 cylinder motor so it’s does not have a lot of power but it gets you from a to b for cheap! Sound system is not very loud and no Bluetooth. I used a fm transmitter and it worked good enough for me to have tunes. Host was friendly and very understanding and polite for any and all questions or concerns I had during my rental. I would definitely recommend renting from them again. Surprisingly roomy for its size. I am 6’5” 230 pounds and fit comfortably

I am submitting this complaint regarding a vehicle I rented through Turo. I chose this rental to save money, but I never expected that being frugal would put my safety at risk.

The vehicle’s headlights are dangerously dim. At night, when driving at normal speeds, the headlights barely illuminate the road ahead. They are so weak that they appear to be parking lights rather than functioning headlights. I have been forced to rely on the headlights of other vehicles just to safely see the road while driving to the hospital, where I work on call caring for patients.

This issue should never have been overlooked. Why was this vehicle listed for rent without disclosing that the headlights were unsafe? Why wasn’t this repaired before being made available to customers?

Using the high beams is not a solution. One high beam does not function at all, and the remaining one is improperly aimed, so it does not provide adequate visibility. As a result, the vehicle is unsafe to operate at night and presents a serious road hazard to both the driver and everyone else on the road.

Unfortunately, I cannot simply return the vehicle and rent another one because my hospital shift begins at 7:00 a.m. in San Luis Obispo, and I depend on reliable transportation to care for my patients.

I have rented many vehicles through Turo over the past several weeks, and this has been, by far, the worst experience I have had. The vehicle drives acceptably during the day, but once the sun goes down, it becomes unsafe because the headlights provide virtually no usable illumination.

I am extremely disappointed, frustrated, and dissatisfied with this experience. This situation has shaken my confidence in both this host and, unfortunately, in Turo’s inspection and safety standards. No customer should be placed in a vehicle that is unsafe to drive at night.

I expect this matter to be taken seriously, and I will be formally reporting this safety issue. I hope Turo investigates this vehicle immediately so that no one else is put in the same dangerous situation.

This version is appropriate for both a formal complaint to Turo and a public review if you choose to post it.
